Rates - Discounts

Note: Outdoor activities such as canoeing, kayaking, tubing and riverside camping are assumed risk sports. Rates quoted herein are based on participants assuming those risks for themselves (and children if applicable).

"C" Discount Rate - No advance deposit required. Applies to 2 to 4 paddlers.

"D" Regular Rate - No advance deposit required. Applies to the solo paddler.

A, B & C discount rates are based on two paddlers per canoe. Rates include: aluminum canoe, paddles and life vests. Children can ride free with two paying paddlers.* Third adult in canoe pays 1/2 price. "Plastic" canoe - add $2.50 per paddler. Rates subject to change without notice. Transport Private Canoes - $10 per canoe (single shuttle). We accept all canoeing coupons  and promotions; only one discount per canoe.

Children

Children should not ride with inexperienced canoeists. Children (under age 16) can ride free with two paying paddlers.*
(life vest rental $1 per day)

SCOUT-SCHOOL-CHURCH

And other 'budget-minded' youth groups attempt to prepay for maximum discount. Work exchange programs are available to interested groups - equipment use exchanged for helping with litter, clean-up operations, etc. Too, any and all canoeing coupons will be cheerfully honored; only one discount permitted per canoe. ALL CANOE RENTAL COUPONS HONORED!

SAVE-TRANSPORT YOURSELF

Whenever possible simply avoid using the shuttle-bus by either dropping off most of your group at the access prior to an Upper River trip or by picking up the group after a Lower River trip. We will pickup and deliver canoes and equipment; if need be the drivers in the group can ride the shuttle-bus (A rate). All persons not using the shuttle-bus will qualify for an additional discount. Call for details. Scout, school, church and other 'budget-minded' groups should consider the 'Transport Yourself' option. Of course, full shuttle service is available to groups and individuals preffering to use it.

Of course full shuttle service is available to groups and individuals referring to use the shuttle-bus.

NOTE: Group Leaders

When planning river trips involving youth, make certain that everyone involved, including all parents, understand that no life guards are stationed along these self-guided routes. Also make certain that the group has enough adult leadership and supervision for existing river conditions.

River trips and associated activities should not be equated with an amusement park experience. An ideal river trip should be very relaxing without strict schedules; try not to plan or crowd too many additional activities into your groups agenda. It is important to have a well rested group that can focus their energies and attentions to the planned trip as well as the existing river conditions. Study weather forecasts closely relative to your plans; we can update you as to water levels and river speeds.

The experienced adult (s) in the lead canoe (s) should be able to recognize obstacles in river currents such as fallen trees, limbs, large rocks, etc. that must be avoided by the group; these obstacles can be extremely hazardous. The adult (s) in the trail canoe (s) must make certain that no members of the group stray outside of the group formation. Many group leaders carry cellular telephones in plastic (tupperware) containers on their river trips.

If your group is camped and severe weather and/or flooding occurs, we can assist leaders with alternate activities in the area.

Advance Deposit

All deposits refunded in the event of severe weather. Cancellations not related to adverse weather receive a credit for future trip.
